PDFArrow · Workflow playbook for legal operations

Control versions, compare changes, redact evidence, and release the right PDF

PDF tools can support document operations, but they do not replace legal review, e-discovery systems, certificate signatures, or a defensible retention program.

Establish the source and authority

Identify the matter, document owner, authoritative editable source, and permitted recipients. Preserve originals and avoid editing the only copy.

Compare revisions

Compare final PDF versions for additions, deletions, replacements, and moved text. Treat detections as review prompts and confirm every material change against both source documents.

Redact and validate

Use permanent redaction, then search, select, extract text, inspect metadata, and review visible edges. High-stakes productions require a second reviewer and any additional controls required by counsel or policy.

Release and retain

Record the approved version, recipients, release date, and reviewer. PDFArrow does not provide a legal hold, audit certificate, signing ceremony, or e-discovery chain of custody.
